Last week, the Grace gang headed up to Minneapolis to attend the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year ceremony honoring the finalists and revealing the Midwest winner. Now in its 32nd year, the program has expanded to recognize business leaders in more than 145 cities and over 60 countries throughout the world. The awards celebrate the milestones set forth by trailblazers in their respective fields and industries. Automatic Supersonic

It's a trend that hasn't reached the tippy top of its bell curve just yet and will likely continue to rise until SkyNet takes over. The Way of the Future

We've talked a bit about Virtual & Augmented Reality on the blog, but mostly from an entertainment perspective. Technologies like these on the near horizon are opening up limitless possibilities for potential. What can you imagine using AR & VR for? I'd like my glasses to have a Heads Up Display (HUD) that shows me everybody's first name so I never again forget it as soon as I meet them. Like I said; endless possibilities! You didn't think we were going to have an Electrical Safety Month without a cameo from Burnie & Les, did you? After so many arc flash incidents with our clumsy pal, Burnie; Les made it his life goal to find a
 better and safer method of performing Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting. The result was the Voltage Test Station (VTS).

Yesterday, we celebrated World Ovarian Cancer Day in honor of this global movement to ensure all the women we love know about ovarian cancer. Last September (National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month), we hosted our first Believe in the Cure event to raise money for Dr. David Bender's Ovarian Cancer research team from the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

Electrical Safety Month - Genesis

In the beginning, Grace created the GracePort® and GracePESDs®. Now the GracePort® was fully customizable and provided thru-door access to control panels. And then Grace said, "Let there be light," and there were voltage indicator PESDs. Grace saw that the LED voltage indication was good and it separated light from darkness during Lockout/Tagout. Grace called the light "voltage presence" and the dark "absence of voltage".
